APPLICATIONS

Used for identifying energized conductors.

The indicator will flash or glow (due to a special patented circuit) when the working end comes in contact with an energized conductor, indicating the status of the conductor to the lineman.

The live line indicators come in a rating of 15 kV and 30 kV line-to-ground voltage, AC. The 15 kV and 30 kV will flash on 120 Volts. When the indicator is tested to its rated voltage and found to be in good working order, the leakage coming off the handle is less than 1 milliamp. However, the actual current when held in the hand, or rubber gloves, is much lower. NOTE: Lineman’s Testing advises the use of all appropriate safety equipment at all times. Approved work and safety practices established by the safety officials of the utility or work place should be followed at all times.
