This may be the Co-Op position for you! Join our team as a Supply Chain Co-op Student.
Lineman’s Testing Laboratories of Canada is a forward-thinking company with locations across Canada offering competitive salaries, benefits, training and development and a strong work-life balance. Here is what you will be doing during your co-op term.
•Creating Purchase Orders regarding direct and indirect materials such as IT, manufacturing, production, purchasing, maintenance, quality, janitorial, and miscellaneous supplies;
•Work with Strategic Buyers to coordinate and support purchasing activities;
•Resolve invoicing issues such as price, quantity discrepancies, goods not received, incorrect/duplicate invoices etc. Contact vendors to send correct invoices or credit memo’s;
•Responsible for preparing the paperwork, obtaining quotes, arrange for deliveries and creating PO’s for the calibration and repairs of tools;
•On a daily basis check and coordinate order acknowledgments to avoid potential invoicing issues;
•Utilize skills of planning, coordinating and implementation of new business processes that reduce cycle time, increase productivity in order to reduce non-value added by utilizing ERP and Planning Tools;
•Interact with internal team members and/or cross functional teams to drive key performance improvements;
•Support and assist with the creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Master Data (Purchasing);
•Refine the purchase requisition query in order to effectively manage the purchasing process;
•Track and monitor Supplier Performance;
•Drive OTD for to achieve KPIs through internal expediting and prioritization of planning;
•Expedite and track orders and materials / PO’s based on production requirements for assigned key customers and ensure on time delivery is met;
•Coordinate with post sales to improve the delivery performance of spare parts orders for key customers;
•Work closely with the purchasing and production team to ensure on-time completion on all customers orders;
•Prepare supplier performance and inventory improvement reports on delivery, cost, inventory level and inventory turn;
•Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements.
